Job Description
Job Responsibilities The Chemical Operator is responsible for maintaining safety, plant production, operating efficiency and regulatory compliance Follows and encourages others to follow all organizational safety rules and practices. Fosters & maintains a positive work environment. Performs basic tasks interacting with pumps, pipes, valves, and HMIs to prepare and charge material into the manufacturing batch process. Operates a forklift to load/unload trailers and transport materials. Performs basic lab testing. Counts and report inventory daily and assist monthly inventory counts. Folows and perform lock out tag out (LOTO) for maintenance work on equipment. Maintain work area in a clean, organized, and safe environment. Maintain accurate records including batch sheets, lab data entries, and shift turnover documents. Recommends methods to improve production methods and equipment. Assists others in troubleshooting problems. Performs other duties as assigned. Candidate Qualifications/ Requirements Basic computer literacy. Strong mechanical aptitude. Previous chemical plant experience preferred. Ability to climb steps, stairs, and ladders on a repetitive basis. Basic computer literacy. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations necessary for position's essential duties. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to follow instructions and work independently Reliable transportation for attendance required. Dependability and Punctuality are key ingredients to be successful in this position.
