POSITION SUMMARY
The Chemical Operator Supervisor coordinates manufacturing activities with the Polymer (Resin) manufacturing areas through training, deployment and supervision of personnel, awareness and arrangement of equipment maintenance, planning raw material deliveries, ensuring/performing accurate inventor transactions, and applying production schedules. Position requires flexible work schedules.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Processes raw materials into finished polymeric materials using industrial equipment, including pressure & non-pressure reactors, vacuum systems, distributed control system (DCS), pumps, flow meters, condensers, and sensors in an OSHA PSM-covered environment. Organizes, prioritizes, and oversees production functions to ensure timely completion in accordance with company standards and specifications. Maintains production schedules, monitors inventory levels, and ensures availability of equipment and raw materials; coordinates maintenance and repair activities as needed. Completes required paperwork, reports, and production records; communicates any significant issues or concerns to management. Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety and quality standards throughout all production activities. Maintains clean, secure, and well-organized work areas; supports related duties and special projects as assigned. Assists in other operational areas when needed to support overall production goals.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Operations Management from accredited school preferred. Minimum 5 years of chemical manufacturing experience. Experience with polymer or reaction chemistry preferred. At least 3 years of supervisory or project management experience are preferred. HAZMAT training (Hazwoper, etc.) or site Incident Commander experience preferred.
SALARY RANGE
$27.61 to $42.05. Compensation for this role is negotiable based on experience and skill set.
