A Shift and C Shift BEPC is seeking a highly motivated Megasys Technician (Gas Ops) to join our client's site in Austin, TX. This role will support semiconductor manufacturing operations through the safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of gas and chemical distribution systems used in the production of electronic devices such as smartphones, LEDs, and flat-screen TVs. This is a hands-on opportunity offering technical training and the potential for long-term career growth based on performance and business needs.Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
Safe operation of assigned chemical and/or gas distribution systems Handling and change-out of gas, chemical, and slurry containers Gas and chemical equipment troubleshooting Preventative and repair maintenance Computer operations to support job functions and customer needs Support of quality systems Follow all safety procedures and protocolsQualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent Valid Driver's License Must read and speak English Mechanical aptitude Demonstrated safety experience at previous employersPreferred Qualifications:
Experience in maintenance, equipment technician roles, or mechanical/electronic environments Experience with chemical and gas distribution equipment Military training Strong technical aptitude Excellent communication skills Proficiency with MS Office Suite Desire to learn College graduates or individuals with military background encouraged to apply Previous experience in Manufacturing, Gas & Oil, Chemical Technician, Industrial Mechanics, Production Technician, Bio-Tech, Automotive/Mechanics, Waste Water Treatment, Power Plant, or Refinery environments Additional Information Overtime may be available based on business needs Multiple shift schedules may be available including day, night, 5-day, and compressed schedules Background screening and onboarding requirements apply Respirator Fit Test administered during orientation Physical Requirements Walking up to 5-6 miles per day Occasionally climbing tanker trucks while using fall protection Wearing supplied breathing air respirators while working with chemicals Lifting up to 40 lbs Bending and overhead reaching Wearing required PPE including safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, apron, ear plugs, and safety boots Completion of Fit for Duty Evaluation prior to reporting and annually Completion of hazardous communication training before work AboutBEPC BEPC
