Job Description

We are seeking a Lease Operator. You will be responsible for optimizing and maintaining oil and gas production and lease expenses while developing increasing understanding of lease issues. Under general supervision, you will prepare, maintain, and submit daily reports and records of daily gas and/or liquid volume, well pressure and volume of chemicals used, etc. Commit to HSE&R in all activities. Perform operational checks of assigned wells, equipment, and plant facilities. Ensure production volumes are entered, checked and accurate daily. Conduct production tests and perform minor repairs. Witness gauging and tests, ensuring accuracy of run tickets as required. Represent the company in delivery/receipt of materials and equipment. Maintain regulatory, environmental and safety compliance in conjunction with and through close coordination with the Operations Engineers, Superintendents, Foremen, and Environmental, Health and Safety Department Secure and maintain all company equipment, including but not limited to computers, vehicles, and analysis or test equipment. Possess the right and obligation to stop work if unsafe conditions exist or are suspected. Provide field wide contact with all personnel in the event of emergency or other significant occurrences. Maintain positive relationship with local, state, and Federal representatives and surface owners. Train newly hired and/or less experienced lease operators. Maximize profitability of assigned wells. Strong understanding of all artificial lift types. Strong troubleshooting skills. Ability to lawfully drive a Company vehicle. Other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements (not all inclusive) Bending, squatting, crouching, kneeling Carrying or lifting a minimum of (50 lbs.+) Reaching, stooping, climbing Push/Pull/Lifting Walking & standing Smell & hear Concentrate Driving and working extended hours in adverse weather conditions Required Education and Experience Strong commitment to business ethics and H&S Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure and time constraints. Ability to easily adapt to changes in work environment, manage competing demands and deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events. Ability to remain calm in potentially adversarial or stressful situations. Ability to set priorities and follow through on projects with limited supervision. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrate leadership abilities; takes initiative on team tasks.
