Houston, TX Job Details Full-time $14 - $18 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Manufacturing equipment maintenance Coating Manual handling Full Job Description Applicant controls anodizing or plating equipment to provide corrosion resistant surface to aluminum or steel objects: Selects holding rack according to size, shape, and number of objects to be anodized. Wires or clips objects to anodizing rack and immerses rack in series of cleaning, etching, and rinsing baths. Positions objects in tank by suspending them from anode. Estimates amount of electric current and time required to process material. Turns rheostat to regulate flow of current. Removes objects from tank after specified time, rinses objects, and immerses them in bath of hot water or solution to seal parts. Hangs objects on racks to air-dry. May also immerse objects in dye bath to color them for decorative or identification purposes. May also process work piece with corrosion resistant material, using automated equipment that automatically cleans, rinses, and coats. Applicant is required to maintain work center and perform daily checks/maintenance, weekly check/maintenance, and troubleshoot equipment and process issues. Applicant must be able to lift 50 pounds and be able to stand for the duration of the work shift. Previous experience with different chemical suppliers a plus.
