Quality Control Technician -
Metrology & Process Control Pay Rate:
$31 / hour (+ $2/hr differential for weekend shift)

2 Overview We are seeking a Quality Control Technician - Metrology & Process Control with experience in metrology, laboratory testing, and quality certification, preferably within manufacturing or metallurgical environments. Experience with
ISO 9001
systems and calibration processes is highly valued. Seeking candidates that are able to travel to Lima, Peru for 2 weeks initial training at home factory. Position Purpose Ensure product quality compliance by performing quality inspections, laboratory testing, and metrology controls, issuing quality certificates prior to shipment, and maintaining measurement accuracy and traceability in accordance with customer requirements, internal standards, and
ISO 9001
guidelines. Key Responsibilities Quality Certification & Documentation Prepare and issue quality certificates for finished products prior to shipment, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. Generate and update chemical and physical specifications for standard and new products. Maintain updated records of national and international standards applicable to products. Provide customers with technical quality information and product specifications when required. Metrology & Measurement Systems Manage and control the metrology system, including verification, calibration, and maintenance of measurement equipment. Perform and supervise calibration and verification activities according to international procedures and traceability requirements. Conduct MSA (Measurement System Analysis) in accordance with AIAG Core Tools. Define equipment calibration intervals, equipment life cycles, and suitability for quality control. Maintain equipment inventory (linear and non-linear equipment, accessories, standards, reagents). Laboratory & Process Testing Perform chemical and physical testing, including: pH and conductivity measurements, Titrations, Fat percentage analysis, Bacteria and fungi analysis, Hull Cell testing, Metal determination in water and galvanic solutions Conduct sampling and analysis of: Process water, Galvanic solutions, Wastewater and treatment systems Report test results, analyze trends, and communicate corrective actions to production teams. Plant Inspections & Support Inspect tanks, filtration systems, cooling systems, pumps, piping, ion exchange units, and solution conditions. Supervise external service providers and calibration laboratories. Coordinate maintenance activities for laboratory and plant quality-related equipment. Support corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives related to quality deviations. Education Bachelor's degree preferred in: Chemistry, Metallurgy, Materials Science, Chemical or Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field. Equivalent combination of education and relevant quality, laboratory, or metrology experience will be considered. Experience 1+ year of experience in: Quality control, metrology, or laboratory roles, Manufacturing, metal-mechanical, or metallurgical environments Experience performing equipment calibration and quality inspections is highly valued. Experience working with
ISO 9001
quality systems preferred. Technical Knowledge Quality inspection and metrology systems, ISO 9001, Core Tools (MSA preferred), laboratory testing and calibration methods, ERP systems Languages Bilingual in English and Spanish is Required. Core Competencies Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, effective communication, teamwork, accountability, and ability to follow procedures and technical standards.
Compensation / Pay
Rate (Up to): $21.00 - $21.00 Per Hour
