Industrial Centrifuge Operator Location:
Kilgore, TX Work Type:
In-Person Job Summary The Industrial Centrifuge Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of centrifuge equipment used for material separation, such as liquids from solids. This role is critical in industries such as municipal and industrial wastewater treatment, food processing plants, petrochemical operations, and E&P dewatering and oil/grease recovery applications. Required Skills and Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older Reliable transportation to and from the job site Valid driver's license required
Experience:
Prior experience in industrial centrifuge operations or a similar mechanical role preferred but not required
Technical Knowledge:
Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in challenging environments, including elevated areas
Flexibility:
Willingness to work day/night shifts and travel to various industrial sites as needed
Responsibilities Equipment Operation:
Set up, start up, and shut down decanter centrifuges and ancillary equipment such as pumps, valves, and tanks
Process Monitoring:
Adjust speed, temperature, and flow rates to optimize performance and ensure quality output
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance (including lubrication and wear-part replacement); identify and resolve mechanical issues to minimize downtime
Chemical Handling:
Prepare feed stock by injecting polymers or other chemical additives to facilitate separation
Quality Control & Logging:
Collect and log samples for laboratory analysis; maintain accurate production and equipment records
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
