The 3D printing industry is one of the most exciting and fastest-growing industries in the world today and Polymaker is part of the momentum. Polymaker develops, produces and markets high value materials for 3D printing. Our company is growing rapidly and can be described as young, open and energetic. Polymaker has been active in the US since 2013. We have built up a network of channel partners who serve end-users from all over the United States. Our end-users are hobbyists, professionals and industrial customers who 3D print high quality parts using our filaments. From our 40,000 SF facility in Missouri City, TX, we currently manage the production, sales, marketing, planning, and distribution of 3D printing filament for the North America region.

POSITION SUMMARY

Maintenance Technician will primarily perform equipment maintenance and facility maintenance activities on an assigned shift.

POSITION TYPE

Full Time, Hourly The technician reports directly to the Lead Technician Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize equipment downtime Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment Perform preventative facility maintenance, including cleaning of assigned areas Follow all process work instructions Follow all company environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards Liaison and escort contractors to ensure compliance with company EHS standards Stop work authority - STOPS all work if unsafe conditions are identified Generate and communicate shift passdown to oncoming technician Identify and communicate areas of improvement Support Shift Lead in performing extrusion setup and quality checks

Key Expectations:

12 Hour Shifts; from 3 - 4 shifts/week (alternating schedule) All tools and materials to be provided by employer (use of personal tools discouraged) Reliable transportation to and from the facility Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs Walking, standing, bending, lifting, and reaching are normal expected movements during a shift Previous experience working in a manufacturing or refinery facility Willingness to learn and teach others 0% travel required Lead by example Willingness to learn and adopt core values of the company Preferred Experience Background Previous experience maintaining plastic extrusion equipment High Voltage experience (480V 3P) Experience troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic systems Ability to operate forklifts and/or overhead lifting devices.
