We strive to provide first-class service to our customers. The Process Area Coordinator (Crude and OMS Units) plays a key role in the Refinery Operations team. This role will be responsible for oversight of unit and refinery operations performance. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Partners with shift supervisors on operational decision-making, troubleshooting, and consistency of standards. Serve as the first escalation point for shift supervisors in the assigned area. Drive real-time issue resolution during process upsets, equipment trips, and abnormal conditions. Subject matter expert - continually share knowledge with the organization regarding Training, MOC's, PSM, PHA's, TA scoping, investigations, troubleshooting, operating risk, and opportunity. Drive closure of action items from incidents, audits, and PHAs within the area. Confirm operational readiness for planned work execution (isolation, blinding, permits). Drive real-time issue resolution during process upsets, equipment trips, and abnormal conditions. Work with Training Specialist and Document controller to help Maintain all Procedures to ensure they are up to date. Develop new procedures as needed. Be a key member of the TA scoping process, understand plant objectives and set a scope to achieve those objectives and support execution of turnarounds effectively and competitively. Ensure value adding projects are prepared properly so they can be included when TA scoping is taking place so as not to waste people's time. Support the OMS and Crude Business Team's strategies to increase margin, decrease costs and invest capital in the right areas. Drive real-time issue resolution during process upsets, equipment trips, and abnormal conditions. Perform field audits of work to ensure safety, quality, and productivity. Owner of the permanent blind list. Annual audits are completed and reviewed for accuracy. Assist with Routine duties calendar audits to verify value added tasks stay or deleted. Collaborate with various business departments to troubleshoot and resolve quality and process opportunities. Act as a backfill for various team members. Develop and utilize monitoring tools so they provide early identification of real or potential problems, with all issues promptly investigated and if needed, elevated. Identify capability gaps and feed them into the training plan. years' experience in regulatory compliance and testing. Experience working in the industrial, chemical, operator, or oil field is a plus, but not required. Excellent mechanical aptitude (understanding of crude oil measurement, custody transfer, tank gauging, and meter proving are a plus, but not required) Computer Skills (Excel, Word, Pi-vision, adobe etc.) Professional demeanor; able to effectively build relationships with all levels of staff, internal and external customers. Must be organized; able to multi-task, and to prioritize assignments. Strong communication in both written and verbal.
