Job Description

Do you make measurements matter? As a Process Control Calibration Technician, you'll ensure our plant chemical process control equipment, heat treatment furnaces, and associated electronics perform with absolute accuracy. This is a 100% onsite role in Ogden, UT reporting to the Senior Technical Services Manager. What you'll take on Installation & repair: Install, troubleshoot, and repair electronic equipment, thermoelectric elements, pressure and flow instruments, gas chromatograph instruments, and pH instruments and elements. Calibration & records: Calibrate temperature and pressure elements to National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) requirements and produce physical calibration documentation.
Preventive practices:
Maintain preventive maintenance records and other test records.
Reference library:
Maintain an organized library of calibration manuals to support consistent work standards.
Flow control expertise:
Rebuild and install valves, valve positioners, and other flow-related devices.
Team alignment:
Coordinate area activities with the central maintenance shop for smooth execution.
Quality partnership:
Collaborate with Engineering and Quality on material qualification and testing; participate in customer audits.
Guidance-ready:
Receive and execute oral and written instructions from your supervisor to prioritize tasks and timelines. Where you'll apply your craft Plant chemical process control systems and heat treatment furnaces Valves, regulators, recorders, controllers, thermal elements pH and conductivity instruments, flow analyzers, pressure devices, gas chromatograph instruments Tools and media you'll handle Electronic and pneumatic test equipment; small hand tools Wiring, pneumatic tubing, and fittings Controllers, sensors, and PLCs Process equipment involving acids and chemicals Work setup
Location:
Ogden, UT Onsite requirement: 100% onsite support Reports to: Senior Technical Services Manager What it takes High School Diploma or GED (required) Five (5) years of instrumentation and control experience, with at least three (3) years in a similar industrial setting Trade/technical school education in industrial instrumentation maintenance may qualify toward the experience requirement PLC wiring experience Strong maintenance and repair capabilities
