Job Description

About the Role We are seeking a safety-conscious Production Technician / Chemical Blender to join our manufacturing team in Elliston, VA. This position offers an attractive daytime schedule with steady weekday hours. In this role, you will handle, blend, and process liquid and dry chemicals safely. You will adhere to strict QA/QC procedures, manage order fulfillment, and act as a production floater to support various warehouse and technical operations. Starting Pay:
$24.00 per hour.
Premium Schedule:
Desirable Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM shift.

Key Responsibilities Chemical Blending:
Safe and accurate handling, combining, and blending of liquid and dry chemicals according to strict technical specifications.
Order Fulfillment:
Pulling inventory, preparing products for shipment, loading/unloading delivery trucks, and ensuring high-quality product appearance.
Operations Support:
Operating machinery including forklifts, pumps, hoists, and agitators. Serving as a backup for the IX Technician and assisting with Wastewater Treatment (WWT).
Documentation & Compliance:
Completing accurate paperwork related to product build assemblies and inventory management. Following all established company policies and repeatable safety processes.
Safety & Maintenance:
Maintaining a clean, organized work environment. Participating on the optional Spill Response team (specialized training provided).
Qualifications & Experience Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a production or manufacturing environment (Required).
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
Chemical Handling:
Previous experience blending chemicals/compounds or working around chemicals (Preferred).
Certifications/Training:
Prior training in forklift operation, chemical transportation safety, hazards communication, PPE, or ergonomics (Preferred).
Core Skills:
Ability to follow strict technical procedures, mechanical aptitude, active listening, verbal communication, and strong teamwork skills.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Tasks involve moderate physical activity including walking, bending, stooping, lifting, and ladder work.
Environment:
Working indoors and outdoors in varied weather conditions. Exposure to machinery noise, plumbing systems, electricity, and various chemical odors.
Safety Protocols:
Must wear required PPE, including eye protection and steel-toe boots.
Respirator Clearance:
Certain tasks require respirator use. Candidates must pass and maintain a medical clearance and remain clean-shaven on the face to comply with the ProChem Respiratory Protection Program.
Schedule Flexibility:
While the standard shift is Monday through Friday from 7 to 3, occasional overtime and schedule flexibility may be required based on production needs.

Candidates must successfully pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening prior to employment.
