This role puts you at the center of a modern, food‑grade manufacturing operation. Your mission Operate and optimize automated equipment to meet strict standards for quality, cost, and delivery—while ensuring absolute adherence to safety and regulatory requirements. In this role, you will Champion safety by following all plant policies, engaging in the Safety Program, and escalating incidents or near‑misses immediately. Keep work areas audit‑ready with daily 5S and vehicle checks. Run multiple machines and robotic systems, dialing in settings to sustain OEE, reduce waste, and avoid unplanned downtime.
Own quality:
apply the positive release program; inspect output; respond to defects; document and chart production activity; summarize rework/scrap; and update the quality database. Apply gauges and inspection tools with precision; verify results against drawings, specs, and work instructions. Drive continuous improvement by recommending better methods and serving on CI teams to remove waste and lower operating costs. Follow BRC Food Safety Policy, GMPs, HACCP principles, ISO 14001, and OSHA rules at all times. Write or refine SOPs/work instructions; perform and log daily/weekly/monthly maintenance; support trial runs (SMA's), installations, overhauls, and upgrades. Provide cross‑line support including forklift operation and break relief; take on additional duties as needed. What sets you up for success High school diploma or equivalent; demonstrable mechanical aptitude. Background in high‑volume manufacturing (2+ years preferred). Strong communication, teamwork, organization, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills. Computer literacy and basic math to interpret technical documentation and report performance. Meticulous attention to detail; adaptable to changing priorities; comfortable with measuring devices. Availability for 8‑ or 12‑hour shifts across days/off‑shifts, plus weekends, holidays, and overtime. Conditions you can expect A dynamic, loud production floor with seasonal temperature extremes; occasional work at heights or in non‑permit confined spaces with training; proximity to energized equipment, pinch points, sharp/hot surfaces, metal dust/slivers, and hazardous/explosive chemicals. PPE is required. Operations commonly follow a 12‑hour rhythm with an alternating 36/48‑hour weekly pattern.

There is no continual lifting. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision as well as color recognition. Good hand/eye coordination is necessary.

Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is very loud. Team members must wear hearing protection and all other assigned personal protective equipment. Temperature can range from extreme cold ( 95 degrees). The atmosphere contains fumes, dust, and odors.
