Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Chemical Plant Operator to join our production team. This position plays a critical role in day-to-day manufacturing operations, including material handling, equipment operation, process monitoring, and maintaining product quality standards. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment. This role requires strong teamwork, a commitment to safety, and the ability to troubleshoot production issues as they arise. Primary Responsibilities Handle, transfer, weigh, and mix raw materials used in production processes. Monitor production equipment and ensure operations are running efficiently. Record production data including measurements, temperatures, batch information, and material usage. Identify and troubleshoot equipment or process issues to minimize downtime. Perform routine cleaning, inspections, and basic maintenance of production equipment. Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards. Report safety concerns, accidents, equipment malfunctions, or quality issues promptly. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to production efficiency and product quality. Work closely with production team members and supervisors to maintain workflow and meet production goals. Safely operate forklifts and other industrial equipment as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Prior manufacturing, chemical processing, or industrial experience preferred. Forklift experience or certification is a plus. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. Comfortable using computers for data entry and production tracking. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to follow written procedures and safety guidelines. Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move 50+ pounds regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, crouch, and work for extended periods. Comfortable wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).

From $20.00 per hour
