In this role, you will operate state-of-the-art plasma cutting machines to shape and produce high-quality metal components. Your expertise will ensure that each project meets strict quality standards while maintaining efficient workflow. Responsibilities Set up and operate plasma cutting tables, ensuring accurate alignment and calibration for each job. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine cutting parameters. Program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) plasma machines to execute precise cuts based on design files. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments on plasma tables and related equipment. Conduct quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances. Handle sheet metal and other raw materials safely using forklifts, cranes, and hand tools while adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to ensure seamless production flow and timely completion of projects. Skills Proficiency in CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC programming, and CNC milling machines. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience operating press brake machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and welding equipment. Ability to read complex blueprints and utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards for precision work. Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes and tooling setup for fabrication tasks. Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques, quality inspection procedures, and the use of precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers. Skilled in the use of hand tools, basic math for measurements, assembly techniques, and tooling management. Experience operating forklifts, cranes, or other material handling equipment safely in a manufacturing setting.
