CNC Lathe Set-Up Operator -
Aerospace Manufacturing Location:
Phoenix, AZ A well-established aerospace manufacturing company in Phoenix is looking for an experienced CNC Lathe Set-up/ Machinist. We are looking for a self-motivated individual that displays passion, optimism, and an outstanding work ethic. CNC Lathe set-up skills and your own basic tools are required. 3 & 4 axis/live tooling experience is preferred, but not a must. Job description Your tasks and responsibilities Ability to trouble shoot, problem solve, and remain a team player, in a fast pace, changing environment. Apply knowledge of basic GD&T symbols, meaning, functions, and ability to inspect your work to ensure quality requirements are met. Prove out and refine new part programs and collaborate with engineering on updates to feeds/speeds, work holding, to establish a repeatable process for future runs. Revise CNC programs as needed to optimize tool life and cycle time. Review and follow written documents such as work instructions and job aids. Support business needs as they apply to attendance, overtime, punctuality, and shift. Overtime and Saturdays as needed Knowledge and Experience Required High School Diploma or equivalent. Knowledge and experience with Haas and Fanuc control is a plus. Basic tool application knowledge along with feed and speeds calculations are preferred. Knowledge of GD&T and basic print interpretation required. Have strong math skills. Advanced Inspection Method knowledge required. Good interpersonal and verbal / written communication skills.
