CNC Machinist Setup / Operator 5 Axis Milling Aerospace 2nd shift

CNC Milling 5 Axis Machinist Setup and or Operator 2nd

Shift Note:

This is an opening for our 2nd shift. It runs from mid day to midnight, four tens. We are a long established, financially strong and growing manufacturer of precision machined parts. Our shop is located in the northern Anaheim area and we are seeking an experienced CNC Mill Machinist to operate and Setup CNC Mills. Particularly Interested in candidates that have prior 5 axis milling experience. The parts we manufactured are close tolerance, made from aircraft allows, some heat treated materials, and are sold to the Aerospace and Defense industry and are close tolerance. This is a full time permanent position, and we have openings both our morning first shift, as well as an early afternoon/evening 2nd shift weekdays at our Anaheim facility. We generally work four tens.

Duties include:

Interpret mechanical parts blueprints, and work instructions to setup CNC mills; installing vices, holding fixtures, loading tooling, cutters. Consult with the Shop Supervisor, and CNC Programming team to determine best parts machining steps and tooling Setup and adjust

CNC 3,4 5

axis mills, Vertical and Horizontal mills and 5 vertical mills. Modify offsets, modify G code using FANUC and Siemens Celos controls Monitor tool ware, replace cutters, inserts, etc. Setup machine, check parts, obtain First article approval, Load and run parts, change cutting tools, make offsets and adjustments as necessary. Assist with any other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mill machinist. 3-4+ 5 axis milling experience required. Functional communication skills In English required. Must be able to read and understand English written work instructions. Experience setting up milling fixtures, loading machine code programs, setup and validate parts. And to also run production. Ability to make offset adjustments, replace cutting tools,etc.. Experience with DMG Mori DMU 50 or similar 5 Axis vertical, trunion mills, and Siemens Controls experience is highly desired. Experience with GCode modifications. Experience machining aircraft grade alloys and heat treated materials. 5 Axis vertical and Horizontal Milling experience is desired. We have an on site programmer so no extensive CAD CAM programming experience needed. Must be a US citizen or green card holder, for US Govt defense ITAR contract compliance. Applicant must possess the ability to lift 35lbs. and have the ability to stand at a machine for up to 10 hours per day. Applicant must be able to work in a noisy environment. Able to pass pre-employment physical screening for above requirements.

Benefits:

Full time position in a Clean air conditioned machine shop Monday thru Thursday, currently working fourTens, 2nd shift. with possibility to work some OT on Fridays but not guaranteed. Available shifts include late afternoon/ evening second shift ending around midnight. Competitive pay based on experience. Rate to be negotiated.
