- Full-time We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Router Operator to join our fabrication team.
This person will be responsible for operating CNC router equipment to cut materials according to job specifications, drawings, and production schedules. The ideal candidate has experience working in a manufacturing or sign shop environment, understands measurements, can read basic drawings, and takes pride in producing clean, accurate work. Key Responsibilities Operate CNC router equipment safely and efficiently. Load and unload materials such as aluminum, acrylic and other substrates. Read work orders, drawings, cut files, and measurements. Set up materials properly on the router table. Check files, tooling, bits, depths, and material thickness before cutting. Monitor the machine while running to ensure quality and accuracy. Inspect finished parts for correct size, clean edges, and overall quality. Sand, clean, deburr, or prep routed parts as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Perform basic machine maintenance and notify management of any equipment issues. Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE. Communicate with supervisors and team members about job status, problems, or material needs. Help with other fabrication tasks when needed. Qualifications CNC router experience preferred. Sign shop, metal fabrication, or manufacturing experience is a plus. Ability to read a tape measure accurately. Ability to read basic drawings, layouts, and work orders. Comfortable using hand tools and basic shop equipment. Strong attention to detail. Able to lift materials and stand for extended periods. Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn. Basic computer skills helpful. Must be able to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, bend, reach, and move materials throughout the day. Comfortable working in a shop/manufacturing environment. Must follow safety rules and wear required protective equipment. Preferred Skills Experience with CNC router software. Experience in the sign industry. Knowledge of router bits, feeds, speeds, and material setup. Experience cutting aluminum, acrylic Forklift experience is a plus. Work Schedule Full-time position, Monday through Friday. Overtime may be required depending on production needs.
