Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Swiss Operator, where your expertise will drive precision and efficiency in machining complex components. In this role, you will operate state-of-the-art CNC Swiss lathes, ensuring high-quality production while adhering to safety standards and manufacturing best practices. Your skills in machining, blueprint reading, and tooling will be essential to delivering top-tier parts that meet strict specifications. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC Swiss lathes to produce precision components according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings. Program CNC machines using CAD/CAM software, ensuring optimal tool paths and machining parameters for efficiency and quality. Conduct routine inspections of machined parts using calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances. Perform quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to identify defects or deviations from specifications. Maintain machine tools and tooling, including changing inserts, sharpening tools, and adjusting fixtures for consistent performance. Follow safety protocols diligently when handling equipment such as cranes, forklifts, plasma cutters, laser cutters, press brakes, welding tools, and electrical discharge machines (EDM). Collaborate with team members on fabrication processes involving sheet metal work, stamping presses, plasma cutting, laser cutting, and assembly tasks. Troubleshoot machine issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production flow. Keep accurate records of production data, maintenance logs, and inspection reports for quality assurance purposes. Qualifications Proven experience operating CNC Swiss lathes or similar CNC machining centers with a strong understanding of machining principles. Proficiency in CNC programming using G-code or conversational programming languages. Knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards to interpret complex technical drawings accurately. Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, and other precision measuring instruments. Familiarity with fabrication processes such as welding, sheet metal working, stamping presses, plasma cutting, laser cutting, EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining), and press brake operations. Ability to operate forklifts and cranes safely within a manufacturing environment. Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances. Strong understanding of manufacturing safety protocols and quality inspection procedures. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality output consistently.
