CNC Operator I (Night and Weekends)

The CNC Operator I supports aerospace production by safely operating CNC machines using released programs and work instructions. This role focuses on execution, inspection, and adherence to standard work in a controlled production environment. This role involves working closely with engineers, production technicians, and operations teams to support multiple programs and value streams.

Key Responsibilities:

Load and unload parts, fixtures, and materials into CNC machines Run approved CNC programs without modification Perform basic in-process inspections using hand tools (calipers, gauges) Monitor machine operation and cycle times Identify and report machine faults, tool wear, or quality concerns Maintain clean, FOD-free work areas Follow all safety, PPE, ESD, and quality requirements Complete production documentation accurately

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent 0-1 year of manufacturing or machine operation experience Ability to follow work instructions and safety procedures Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

Typical Tools & Equipment:

CNC mills and/or lathes Hand measuring tools (calipers, rulers, go/no-go gauges) Basic shop equipment and fixtures

Compensation:
