machiningFull Job Description Santa Ana, California Full Time Position Job Summary:
The CNC Mill Operator is responsible for operating CNC milling machines to produce precision machined parts in accordance with engineering drawings, job travelers, and company quality standards. This role performs in-process inspections, monitors machine performance, and makes minor machine adjustments to maintain part quality and production efficiency. Experience with DMG Mori NTX machines is preferred but not required . Duties /Responsibilities:
Operate CNC milling machines to manufacture precision components. Follow job travelers, blueprints, and work instructions. Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools. Monitor tooling condition and machine performance during production. Make minor adjustments such as tool offsets when necessary. Deburr parts and prepare components for the next operation. Verify materials match job traveler specifications. Maintain coolant levels and ensure machines and work areas remain clean and organized. Record inspection results and production information accurately. Report production, tooling, or quality issues to supervisors or setup machinists. Follow AS9100 quality procedures, safety rules, and 5S practices. Required Skills /Abilities:
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job travelers. Familiarity with GD&T and precision machining practices. Proficiency in using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and indicators. Basic knowledge of CNC milling operations and tooling. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required. 1-3 years CNC milling experience preferred. Experience operating CNC mills in a manufacturing environment. Experience with DMG Mori NTX machines is preferred but not required. Technical training or machining certification is a plus.Physical Requirements :
Ability to stand for extended periods during shift. Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Visual ability to inspect parts and read measuring instruments. Must be eligible to work in the United States.Similar remote jobs
