Machining Lead Job Summary:
The CNC Machine Operator will safely control various machines and equipment involved in production.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Operates vertical and horizontal milling machine centers, related tools, and equipment Produces the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances. Performs in-process inspections Cleans and inspects equipment prior to use; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance and effectively communicates machine malfunctions Maintains logs and records of units produced including a record of errors. Carries out other duties as assigned or required
Required Skills/Abilities:
Must be able to read blueprints, follow instructions, read instruments, and identify tooling and hardware Must be a citizen of the USA or a legal resident alien Must be able to read, write, and speak English Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, able to work independently, and possess excellent time management skills Must be able to multi-task Must be able to follow verbal as well as written instructions Must understand the importance of keeping production on-schedule to meet customer delivery dates Must understand the importance of adhering to Company Safety and Quality Management System policies
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. At least one year of related experience desired.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced. About the
