CNC Operator Jibe Staffing - 3.2 Walnut, CA Job Details Full-time $22 - $23 an hour 4 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Mechanical blueprint interpretation Blueprint specification interpretation CNC lathe Packing Shop math High school diploma or GED Manufacturing facility Dimensional measurements Precision measurement in machining Problem-solving CNC machine operator experience Full Job Description Job Summary Implement the Production Fulfillment Process steps related to the fabrication of parts according to work order and customer requirements. Ensures machinery is set up, works properly, and conforms with (and can produce materials that conform with) company quality, quantity, and efficiency standards. Operate one or more CNC production machining centers to include but not limited to lathes, horizontal and vertical mills, etc. First of Four levels of CNC machining center operators. Loads and operates numerically controlled machine tools to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations where programs are provided and setups are made and maintained by higher level operators. Essential Job Functions Operate multiple types of fabrication equipment: o Operates tools according to instructions, specifications, and standard charts. o Places and secures work pieces in proper machine table, holding device, or other appropriate surface using clamps and wrenches. o Load, operate and manufacture a variety of parts using CNC machining centers to make custom parts according to customer orders and instructions written on Work Orders and blue prints o Basic recognition of tooling and procedures within established tolerances o Complete work order paperwork o Checks parts for conformance to customer specifications. o Maintain count and perform packaging duties as required o Participate in cross training activities to become knowledgeable of equipment/process within the department o Perform routine daily machine maintenance including cleaning up and lubrication o Maintain a clean and organized work area o Determine if tools are undamaged and in safe condition for use o Make suggestions to improve production and order processing efficiency o Assist with training other team members o Follow safety rules and quality standards Qualifications and Competencies Requires the ability to follow written instructions and read blueprint specifications, or equivalent. Perform work independently with minimal defects Communicate with supervisor on work order priority Open to change due to emergency orders or fabrication of parts Basic to intermediate math skills and/or aptitudes Ability to use basic measuring instruments Excellent problem solving skills Must be able to work overtime as needed Education and Experience A High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience is required. Prior experience in a manufacturing industry is preferred.
Pay:
$22.00 - $23.00 per hour
