Job Description

CNC Lathe/Mill Machine Operator Pay Range:
$20-$24/hour (DOE)
Schedule:
Mon-Fri, 7 AM-3:30 PM About the Role We're looking for a skilled CNC Lathe/Mill Machine Operator who enjoys hands‑on precision machining and working with both CNC and manual technology. In this role, you'll independently operate pre‑programmed CNC equipment, including the L250‑2‑E and the Proteract 1630 SLX hybrid lathe. You'll be responsible for producing accurate, high‑quality machined parts, preparing raw materials, and following detailed work instructions and blueprints from start to finish. What You'll Do Operate pre‑programmed CNC machines and ensure all finished parts meet required specifications. Use manual bandsaws to cut raw materials before machining. Follow blueprints and work instructions to maintain precision throughout the manufacturing process. Load and unload parts using CNC mills and verify proper setup. Perform finishing tasks using hand tools to refine machined components. Machine parts to tight tolerances with consistent accuracy. Conduct quality checks using CMM equipment, calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools. Deburr metal parts for clean final presentation. Support other shop tasks as assigned to keep production running smoothly. What You Bring Minimum 1 year of CNC machine operation experience. Ability to perform setups and confidently work from blueprints. Strong understanding of machining under tight tolerances. Experience performing inspections using CMM machines and precision hand tools. Bonus Skills (Nice to Have) Experience with Okuma lathes. Knowledge of G‑code and basic code editing. The shop environment is structured, safety‑focused, and centered around advanced CNC technologies and manual machining tools. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Thornton, CO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
