Star CNC Operator Clearwater, FL Temp-to-Hire | 2nd and 3rd Shifts Available TempExperts is seeking an experienced Star CNC Operator for a precision manufacturing company based in Clearwater, FL. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring Star CNC Swiss-style machines to produce high-quality, close-tolerance components. Candidates should be comfortable working independently, reading technical drawings, making machine adjustments, and maintaining consistent quality throughout production.
Responsibilities:
  • Set up, operate, and monitor Star CNC Swiss-style machines according to work instructions, blueprints, and production schedules.
  • Load raw materials, tooling, and components into machines and ensure proper machine operation.
  • Review blueprints, work orders, and specifications to verify dimensions, tolerances, and production requirements.
  • Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Make routine offsets and minor machine adjustments to maintain quality and production efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot basic machine, tooling, and quality issues and communicate more complex concerns to the appropriate team member.
  • Change tools, replace inserts, and maintain proper tooling throughout production runs.
  • Complete required production, quality, and downtime documentation accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all safety and quality procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and assist with other production needs as assigned.
