You will be responsible for ensuring production efficiency and maintaining the highest quality standards, directly impacting our ability to deliver innovative solutions to our clients. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC Swiss lathes, performing complex machining on a variety of metals while maintaining extremely tight tolerances. Execute tool changes, perform minor offsets, and make necessary adjustments to ensure continuous, high-quality production. Conduct thorough visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using precision measuring equipment to ensure compliance with operator-owned quality standards. Perform routine machine maintenance and adhere to preventative maintenance schedules to maximize equipment uptime. Execute hand finishing tasks and maintain accurate documentation, including job routers and production records, in accordance with GMP/GDP standards. Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to 5S and safety protocols to minimize operational risks. Collaborate with team members to identify process improvements and escalate technical issues to leadership to ensure production targets are met. Qualifications Required Skills High School diploma or GED. 3+ years of professional experience in CNC machining, specifically with Swiss-style lathes. Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and blueprints. Strong mathematical skills for measurement and record-keeping. Proven ability to operate multiple machines simultaneously while maintaining quality. Commitment to safety and ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs. Preferred Skills Associate's degree or certificate in Tooling & Machining or completion of a formal machinist apprenticeship. Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment. Familiarity with specific Swiss lathe brands such as Star, Citizen, or Index. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under competing deadlines.
