Job Description

Job Summary Candidates will enjoy being a part of a team that produces the top horse stalls and barn hardware in the United States. Heritage Equine Equipment is a small family owned company located in Box Springs, GA (just 20 minutes from east Columbus, GA). We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fabricator / CNC Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and programming CNC machines, including CNC milling machines, lathes, and other fabrication equipment. Your expertise will ensure the production of high-quality components through precise machining, fabrication, and assembly processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing technology in a fast-paced environment where safety, quality, and efficiency are top priorities. Responsibilities Operate sheer, bender and milling machinery. Operate CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and stamping presses with precision and adherence to specifications. Program CNC equipment using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to produce complex parts efficiently. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and manufacturing specifications to ensure accurate fabrication. Set up tooling, fixtures, and materials handling equipment including forklifts to facilitate smooth production flow. Perform routine maintenance on machinery and tools like press brake machines, welding equipment, and hand tools to maintain optimal performance. Conduct quality control inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances. Collaborate with team members on assembly line tasks, materials handling, packaging, and fabrication projects while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, machine settings, and inspection results for continuous improvement. Experience Proven factory experience working in a manufacturing or fabrication environment with hands-on operation of CNC machines or similar equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, welding, tooling setup, and materials handling. Familiarity with CNC programming systems is highly desirable. Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings with GD&T understanding for precise fabrication. Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools. Knowledge of CAD software like SolidWorks or similar for design interpretation and CAM programming is a plus. Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently within a manufacturing setting is preferred. Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and quality checks in a manufacturing environment. Must be able to read a tape measure. $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
