Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Operator to set up, operate, and maintain CNC turning machines to produce high-precision metal components. The ideal candidate has strong machining knowledge, can work independently, and consistently meets quality and production standards. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to produce precision metal parts Load and adjust programs; make offsets and tool changes as required Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions Select tooling, cutting speeds, and feeds appropriate for materials and tolerances Measure and inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other precision tools Maintain tight tolerances and surface finish requirements Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues during production Perform routine maintenance and keep machines and work areas clean Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures Work closely with supervisors, programmers, and quality personnel to meet deadlines Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience operating CNC lathes in a metal manufacturing environment Solid understanding of CNC machining processes and turning operations Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T Proficiency with precision measuring instruments Experience machining metals such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and alloys Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications CNC setup experience (tooling, offsets, first-article inspection) Basic CNC programming or editing experience (G-code) Experience with multi-axis or live tooling lathes Technical certification or vocational training in machining Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Manual dexterity and visual acuity for detailed inspection What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Overtime opportunities Benefits package (health, dental, vision) Stable, safety-focused work environment
