Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Setup Operator with experience on Haas machines to set up, operate, and maintain CNC equipment to produce high-quality precision parts. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up, calibrate, and operate CNC machines (primarily Haas) according to job specifications and work orders. Load and align tools, fixtures, and materials for production runs. Verify machine programs, offsets, and tooling are correct before production. Perform trial runs and adjust feeds, speeds, and tooling to ensure parts meet quality and tolerance requirements. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to confirm specifications. Maintain machine cleanliness and perform routine maintenance, including lubrication and tool replacement. Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine or process issues. Document production data, setup parameters, and adjustments. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace. Collaborate with engineers, quality control, and production teams to optimize processes.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred. Proven experience as a CNC Setup Operator, ideally on Haas machines. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and GD&T specifications. Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (micrometer, caliper, dial indicator, etc.). Knowledge of CNC programming (G-code, M-code) is a plus. Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Capable of performing repetitive tasks with precision.

Work Environment:

Manufacturing/production environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures. Adherence to safety protocols and PPE requirements is mandatory.

Compensation:

• Starting pay range: $22-$26/hour
