Lathe CNC Lathe Operator Hours:
2pm-10pmEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for preparing materials for processing/production and fabrication of parts. Responsible for scheduling workload, projects, machine maintenance, and machine operation. Essential duties include but not limited to:- Operation of lathe for the fabrication of parts
- Verification of dimensions to specification
- Perform basic routine maintenance, programming, operation, and troubleshooting
- Prioritize work according to job
- Maintain accurate count of parts for end of shift report
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures Education and/or
Work Experience Requirements:
- Previous experience with machine set-up and operation
- Ability to effectively communicate and understand job instructions, both verbally and written. Ability to effectively interpret and translate instructions to other employees in a professional and respectful manner.
- Able to perform basic mathematical computations and to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Critical thinking skills to reason and identify solutions
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate degree or two-year technical certificate preferred
- 1-2 years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Motorsports/Off-road experience highly desired
