Job Description

About the Role As a CNC Precision Grinding Specialist, you will be instrumental in driving manufacturing excellence by managing complex grinding operations and optimizing machine performance. You will leverage your technical expertise in Fanuc controls and precision machining to ensure that every component meets rigorous quality standards while enhancing overall production throughput. Responsibilities Configure and operate advanced CNC grinding equipment, ensuring precise calibration and adherence to technical specifications. Develop and refine CNC programs and fixturing strategies to maximize production efficiency and minimize cycle times. Diagnose and resolve complex machining challenges to maintain high uptime and consistent output quality. Conduct thorough first-piece and in-process inspections using advanced measurement tools to guarantee dimensional accuracy. Mentor junior operators by providing technical guidance on machine setups, troubleshooting, and operational best practices. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline machining methods, reduce setup times, and elevate workplace safety standards. Maintain comprehensive documentation, including setup sheets and process logs, to ensure operational transparency and consistency. Qualifications Required Skills High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with CNC grinding or lathe machinery. Proficiency in interpreting complex blueprints, schematics, and GD&T requirements. Demonstrated ability to utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and various gauges. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate standard shop hand tools effectively. Solid understanding of shop math and the ability to follow detailed technical instructions. Preferred Skills 5+ years of professional experience in CNC grinding operations. Proven expertise in CNC tooling and advanced machine changeover techniques. Previous experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing environment. Deep knowledge of ID/OD grinding technologies and manual grinding processes.
