CNC Swiss Operator Job Description Join a leading metals-based med-tech solutions partner, specializing in precision engineering and innovation for medical markets. As a CNC Swiss Operator, you will play a critical role in producing essential components for various medical applications, including Robotic Assisted Surgery, Orthopedics, and Surgical Instruments. Our collaborative teams work closely to solve complex challenges and advance medical technology. Responsibilities Operate multiple CNC machines in a team-based environment. Perform general and daily maintenance on machines to ensure smooth production. Ensure the quality of parts through regular inspection during production. Adhere to all safety guidelines as set by the company. Read and understand blueprints and basic geometric dimension tolerancing. Inspect parts using visual and manual inspection equipment such as calipers and micrometers, as well as programmed CMM equipment. Make offsets and change tooling as per the provided layout. Communicate job status and part quality with team members and management. Essential Skills 1- 3 years of experience in operating CNC Swiss machines. Ability to read blueprints. Experience in documenting machining processes. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Swiss CNC Machinery such as STAR, Citizen, and Tornos. Ability to interpret GD&T. Familiarity with specific machines like SR-20RN and SR-20RV. Work Environment Work in an air-conditioned, precision department equipped with 100 different CNC machines, including 83 Swiss machines and 17 Mill/Lathe machines. The facility provides a comfortable and modern working environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wheeling, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
