CNC Set Up Operator

Overview Rodifer Enterprises is a small family owned and operated business. We are a machine shop who strives to achieve high quality products in an efficient manner. We are looking to expand our CNC department with a candidate who is hungry for growth and ready to learn! Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications to set up CNC equipment accurately. Program CNC machines using G and M codes and verify programs for correctness before production. Prepare and install tooling, fixtures, and tooling setups on CNC lathes and milling machines, ensuring proper alignment with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines. Conduct machine setups on CNC equipment including Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes and milling machines, ensuring optimal performance. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments on CNC machinery to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. Follow safety protocols related to electrical discharge machining (EDM), plastics injection molding processes, and general manufacturing operations. Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying process improvements and reducing waste during setup procedures. Qualifications Proven experience in CNC programming, setup, and operation with a strong understanding of G-code and M-code commands. Knowledge of GD&T principles for precise measurement and quality control. Mechanical knowledge related to machining processes including CNC lathe and CNC milling machine operation. Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines accurately. Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, speeds, feeds, and offsets. Experience working with tooling selection, fixture setup, welding techniques, or plastics injection molding is a plus. Physical ability to stand for extended periods; comfortable lifting heavy materials or equipment when necessary. Pay Rate Pay Rate is based HEAVILY on experience and therefor can be negotiated in the interview!

Pay:

$18.00 - $28.00 per hour
