Job Description

CNC Operator Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of machining processes, and the ability to read blueprints accurately. The CNC Operator will work closely with other team members to ensure that production goals are met while maintaining high-quality standards. Duties Read blueprint or job order for specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, tooling instructions, feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cuts, and cutting tools.. Adjust machine settings as needed. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to ensure parts meet specifications. Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency. Lifts parts manually and positions and secures part in holding device, machine table, or fixture. Observes cutting action of machine to detect excessive wear or malfunction. Changes tooling as needed. Complete inspection paperwork as needed. Track units and downtime daily. Ensure that parts are made to job specifications. Perform daily preventive maintenance tasks. Performs LOTO as required. Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations. Experience 3+ years of CNC experience preferred. Proficiency in programming CNC machines. Strong understanding of machining principles, including milling, stamping, and blueprint reading. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of safety protocols in a manufacturing setting.
