We build these machines from the ground up, including the tooling. We are looking for a qualified machinist to operate our Wire EDM Machines. AMT is at 3706 Transportation Drive, Fort Wayne, IN.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=snSHeEMeQKI&t=236s What You'll Do As our Wire EDM Operator, you'll be part of our precision machining team. You'll get to run Wire EDM machines doing the following:
  • Read and interpret work instructions, prints, and job orders with product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions
  • With assistance, troubleshooting, edit, and optimize new production programs to ensure efficient overall production
  • Calculate and set machine controls to specific work orders
  • Document new program changes and processes to ensure setups can be duplicated and overall production time is optimized
  • Observe operation of machine and verify conformance of machined work piece to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as fixed gauges, calipers, and micrometers
  • Deburr parts to ensure they meet blueprint specifications
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Setup machines on a flexible basis to ensure optimum output throughout the shop
  • Perform other duties as assigned
