The CNC Machine Operator will be responsible for using computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery safely and accurately to perform a variety of functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and a keen eye for detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of finished products. Set up machinery according to specifications provided by blueprints, drawings, or job layouts. This is a full time, benefits eligible position working 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Thursday through Saturday with alternating Wednesdays in a climate controlled environment. Essential Functions of the Job Load raw materials into machines. Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc. Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, etc. Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function. Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines. Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company. Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly. Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality. Clean and maintain equipment and work area. Follow all safety guidelines and procedures. Assist in other areas of production as needed or as assigned. Demonstrated knowledge & proper use of measuring devices such as calipers, square, protractor and reading a machinist scale Ability to read blueprints Strong mathematic skills including fractional/decimal conversion Capable of lifting up to 75lbs Ability to pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, physical capacity test and breath alcohol test.Similar remote jobs
