Job Description

The CNC 5-Axis Machine Operator sets up and runs multi-axis computer numerical control machining centers. This role processes complex, high-tolerance components from materials like titanium, aluminum, and advanced alloys. All operations must strictly follow technical blueprints and aerospace quality standards.
Core Responsibilities Machine Setup:
Load programs, select correct fixtures, align components, and install specific tooling into 5-axis machines.
Operation:
Run complex machining cycles, monitor tool paths, and adjust machine offsets to maintain exact dimensions.
Quality Control:
Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
Maintenance:
Perform daily machine maintenance, check fluid levels, clear chips, and monitor tool wear for timely replacement.
Troubleshooting:
Identify machining errors, resolve program alarms, and collaborate with programmers to fix code issues.
Safety & Standards:
Maintain a clean workspace using 5S principles and strictly follow Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention rules.
Documentation:
Log production metrics, track material heat lots, and sign off on completed manufacturing routers.
