North Billerica, MA Job Details Full-time $18 - $24 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off Qualifications Teamwork High school diploma or GED Manufacturing facility Attention to detail Vocational training Full Job Description Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The CNC Operator will be responsible for operating and monitoring CNC machines to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings, router, and specifications. The ideal candidate has experience with machining processes, quality inspections, and maintaining a safe work environment. Key Responsibilities Operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment. Load materials and tooling according to job specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions. Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency. Perform in-process inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Make minor machine adjustments to maintain product quality. Change and load worn tooling to maintain quality of parts. Run multiple CNC machines. Record production data and complete required documentation. Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping. Follow all safety procedures and company policies. Collaborate with supervisors, programmers, and quality personnel to resolve production issues. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 1-3+ years of CNC machine operation experience preferred. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. Experience using precision measuring instruments. Basic understanding of machining practices and tolerances. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with CNC tool changes. Knowledge of G-code and CNC programming basics. Experience working in a manufacturing or machine shop environment. Technical or vocational training in machining or manufacturing technology.
Pay:
$18.00 - $24.00 per hour
