Summary:
This role focuses on operating and maintaining CNC equipment, drill presses, and engine lathes while working from blueprints, drawings, work orders, and written procedures. The work is part of a production machining team and centers on G-code programs, CNC offsets, Fanuc-style controls, quality checks, and safe machine upkeep. Requirements 1-3 years of related CNC or machine operation experience, with ability to work from blueprints, drawings, procedures, and basic CNC programs . Strong English communication skills, including the ability to understand and follow oral and written work instructions. Ability to perform quality checks using tools such as verniers, micrometers, ring gages, plug gages, and pin gages. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines, drill presses, and engine/turret lathes while following production orders and standard instructions. Make necessary machine adjustments, including wear and geometry offsets, tool insert changes, collets, tool blocks, and tool holders. Support material handling and daily production upkeep, including bar stock tasks, coolant/oil checks, chip/scrap separation, basic maintenance, and safe housekeeping. Important Notes This is an on-site 2nd-shift role near Cambridge, MA, Monday-Friday, 2:00 p.m
