Our client is a fast-paced manufacturing organization where quality, productivity, and craftsmanship really matter. In this role, you will help keep production moving by operating CNC lathes independently, monitoring processes, and ensuring every part meets exact specifications. If you're detail-oriented and comfortable working with route sheets, technical drawings, and inspection documentation, this CNC Lathe Operator position is a great fit. As a CNC Lathe Operator, you will be responsible for operating CNC lathes with minimal supervision, interpreting route sheets and technical drawings to manufacture parts to spec, and completing in-process inspections plus required quality documentation. You'll ensure dimensions and quality standards are met using precision measurement tools, and you'll help identify and resolve machining or quality issues as they come up. Experience with DMG Mori lathes is a plus—your ability to work across machine types (and keep quality high) will stand out.
Required Skills, Education and Experience:
5-10 years of experience in a machine shop Proven ability to operate CNC lathes with little supervision Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings/route sheets CNC Lathe operation GD&T experience Caliper and vernier skills for dimension verification Experience using inspection tools to verify dimensions (e.g., calipers, verniers) DMG Mori lathe experience (plus)
