POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented 2nd Shift CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Southbridge, MA. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machinery to produce high‑quality, precision components. As a key contributor to our production process, you will ensure accuracy, uphold quality standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
:
Machine Operation:
Set up and operate CNC machines for drilling, grinding, milling, and turning operations. Monitor machine performance to ensure proper operation and adherence to specifications. Adjust machine settings to optimize performance and maintain quality.
Programming:
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files. Input and modify CNC programs to produce parts accurately and efficiently.
Quality Control:
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and design specifications. Use precision measuring tools, such as calipers and micrometers, to verify dimensions and tolerances. Perform regular quality checks and record inspection results.
Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines. Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues to minimize downtime. Report any major repair needs or maintenance to the supervisor.
Safety:
Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Support additional tasks as needed to meet departmental and organizational goals.

EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification or degree in CNC machining preferred. Prior CNC machining experience strongly preferred.

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings. Strong understanding of CNC programming and G-code. Experience with precision measuring tools. Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed. Frequent bending, reaching, and manual dexterity required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery. May require shift work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
