JOB SUMMARY
The CNC Machinist is responsible for machining parts in accordance with customer drawing requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Notifies the Production Supervisor of any suspected drawing and/or documentation discrepancies discovered during his/her initial inspection of the customer drawing. Machines parts according to the dimensional and/or surface finish requirements specified by the customer drawing. After machining, inspects parts to confirm conformance to drawing dimensional and surface finish requirements.
BASIS FOR EVALUATION
Reports to work in a prompt manner with minimal missed time. Performs his/her duties in a professional, courteous manner with minimal to no rework. Attention to safety. Adherence to all company policies and procedures related to his/her job.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
High school certificate, at a minimum. Trade school certificate or two-year equivalent experience in a CNC Machine Shop required. Ability to read measurement equipment (calipers, gauges, and tape measures.) Ability to set-up machining centers and do basic programming modifications. Must be able to read and interpret customer blue prints, drawings, sketches, and other documents necessary to perform the job. Ability to speak and receive direction in the English language. Physical ability to perform the various shop related activities, including prolonged periods standing and ability to lift 40 pounds. Cheerful, helpful disposition when dealing with fellow employees. Hours Mon-Thurs 6:00am-4:30pm Full health benefits package, Aflac, 401K available
