CNC Mill Operator Allied Industrial Group Fenton, MI 48430 Full-time Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Mill Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating CNC milling machines to produce high-precision components according to detailed blueprints and specifications. Your expertise in CNC programming, tooling setup, and machine operation will be vital in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining equipment within a fast-paced factory environment dedicated to excellence in fabrication and assembly. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC milling machines, ensuring proper tooling, fixtures, and parameters are configured for each job Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to produce precise parts Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and modify programs as needed for optimal performance Conduct routine inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to verify dimensional accuracy Maintain machine cleanliness, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot mechanical or software issues promptly Handle materials safely using forklifts or other warehouse equipment, ensuring proper materials handling and storage Collaborate with team members on fabrication, assembly line tasks, and tooling adjustments to meet production deadlines Qualifications Proven experience operating CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar machining equipment in a manufacturing facility Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as Fanuc or similar controls Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) models; SolidWorks experience is a plus Familiarity with CAM programming software for toolpath generation and optimization Mechanical aptitude with understanding of tooling, fixtures, presses (including stamping presses and press brake machines), and fabrication processes Experience with quality control tools including calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during setup and inspection Ability to operate forklifts safely; forklift certification is preferred Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), factory automation systems, and safety protocols in a manufacturing environment Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work efficiently on an assembly line or in a fabrication setting Join our team if you're passionate about precision machining, eager to develop your skills in a cutting-edge manufacturing environment, and committed to producing top-quality components.
