E. Shaw Group. We are actively expanding our capabilities, investing in new equipment, and positioning ourselves for continued growth across demanding markets. We are currently looking for skilled CNC Machinists in Frankenmuth, Michigan. Our CNC Machinists are at the core of our operation, responsible for producing precision-engineered components that support critical applications across aerospace and defense, as well as other high-impact industries such as medical. Our team plays a critical role in delivering consistent quality, maintaining efficient production, and upholding the integrity and performance of the parts we manufacture. This role goes beyond basic machining and operation and requires a high level of technical skill, attention to detail, and accountability to ensure every component meets standards. This role is a second shift opportunity working four 10 hour days from 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday (Friday morning). Key Responsibilities Set up, adjust, and operate machine tools, including Swiss lathes and machining centers, to perform precision machining operations. Produce high-quality machined parts by fabricating components to specification while maintaining strict safety and quality standards. Apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures to produce high-quality precision parts Interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to produce parts and determine dimensions and tolerances as required Oversee machine operation and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency. Monitor and verify parts to ensure conformance to engineering drawings and quality standards. Ensure standard procedures are followed across all aspects of work, including tool setup and operation, process verification, product inspection, documentation, and material handling Perform other duties as assigned or requested Basic Qualifications High School Diploma or GED At least two years of CNC operation experience Key Skills and Competencies Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and customer specifications to produce precision components within defined tolerances Proficiency in operating and adjusting CNC machines, with a solid understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials Ability to identify issues in machining processes, tooling, or part quality and make appropriate adjustments to maintain production standards Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by following all safety procedures, equipment guidelines, and company standards High attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality parts that meet exact specifications and inspection standards Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and quality personnel
