Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, blueprint reading, and quality control standards. The ideal candidate will contribute to efficient production workflows, ensure adherence to safety protocols, and uphold the highest standards of craftsmanship within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Set up CNC machines such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC machining centers according to technical specifications and production requirements. Program CNC equipment utilizing CAM programming software and interpret CAD drawings to ensure accurate machining operations. Operate various machinery including press brake machines, stamping presses, and fabrication tools with precision. Conduct routine inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions against GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards. Perform tooling changes, adjustments, and maintenance to optimize machine performance and minimize downtime. Follow safety procedures diligently while handling materials, tooling, and machinery within the manufacturing facility. Collaborate with team members on assembly line tasks, materials handling, and packaging processes to meet production deadlines. Maintain detailed records of machine setups, production runs, and quality checks for documentation purposes. Troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly and coordinate with maintenance teams when necessary. Support quality control initiatives by inspecting finished parts for conformance to specifications. Qualifications Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar equipment in a manufacturing or factory setting. Proficiency in CNC programming using CAM software; familiarity with Fanuc controls is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and mechanical drawings. Ability to use hand tools and precision measuring instruments effectively. Basic math skills essential for calculating dimensions and tolerances. Experience with fabrication processes including welding, stamping presses, and tooling setup. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus. Knowledge of factory safety standards and materials handling procedures. Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of manufacturing equipment maintenance. Previous warehouse or manufacturing facility experience preferred. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
