Overview:
The Turning Operator plays a crucial role in our manufacturing operations, utilizing advanced lathe machines to produce intricate and high-precision components. This position requires expertise in CNC programming, setup, and operation to ensure the quality and efficiency of our production processes.
Shifts we are hiring for:
A Shift:
Monday- Thursday 6:00AM-4:00
PM B Shift:
Sunday-Wednesday 8:00PM-6:00AM plus a 15%
Shift Premium C Shift:
Friday-Sunday 6:00AM-6:00PM paid for 40 hours
D Shift:
Thursday- Saturday 6:00PM-6:00AM paid for 40 hours plus a 15% shift premium
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to fabricate complex components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Monitor machine performance and adjust cutting parameters as necessary to optimize production efficiency and maintain dimensional accuracy. Conduct thorough inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specifications. Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues, ensuring continuous process improvement. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a CNC machinist or lathe operator with expertise in lathe machining. Strong technical knowledge of CNC programming, tooling, and machining practices. Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and geometric tolerances (GD&T). Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma, GED, or completion of a trade school program in machining or a related field. Equivalent professional experience may substitute for formal education requirements. Prior CNC lathe operation experience preferred, especially in a manufacturing or medical device environment.

$22.00 - $26.00 per hour
