Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and driven CNC Machine / Lathe Operator to join our team Here at S & S Die Co . This role is best suited for individuals who take pride in their work, show up consistently, and are committed to producing high-quality parts. Candidates should have prior CNC experience or relevant training and the ability to operate machines accurately and efficiently. Equally important is a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a professional attitude. This is a fast-paced shop that requires accountability, consistency, and focus. If you are dependable, eager to learn, and motivated to improve your skills, this is an excellent opportunity to grow. If reliability and professionalism are not your strengths, this position is not a good fit. Responsibilities Learn and follow customer blueprints and job instructions Set up parts, operate CNC machines, and monitor production Perform in-process inspections to ensure parts meet quality standards Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) to verify accuracy Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Communicate effectively with supervisors, programmers, and team members Shop Environment High-mix job shop environment Frequent changeovers — running and setting up 1-10 different parts per shift Fast-paced with a strong focus on quality and efficiency Skills & Expectations Hands-on, willing to learn with a positive, focused attitude Ability to perform basic setups on simple parts Comfortable lifting 40+ lbs Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Able to read and interpret engineering drawings Deburr and finish parts to standard Maintain a clean and organized workspace Communicate clearly and professionally Requirements Follow written and verbal instructions Strong organizational and basic math skills Reliable transportation and consistent attendance (non-negotiable) Willingness to work 50+ hours per week as needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent CNC or machining experience preferred Graduates of technical or machining programs encouraged to apply
Job Type Full-time Pay:
$18.00 - $24.00 per hour
