Livonia, MI Position Summary A manufacturing operation is seeking an experienced CNC Operator to support daily machining activities. This role is responsible for operating CNC equipment safely and consistently to produce quality parts that meet drawing and customer requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working in a precision machining environment. Key Responsibilities Review shop orders, blueprints, and job documentation to understand machining specifications. Operate CNC machining equipment in accordance with established procedures. Monitor machine performance and change cutting tools or inserts as needed. Perform dimensional inspections using standard measuring instruments. Verify part quality and report nonconformances or concerns to supervision. Maintain accurate part counts and inspection records as required. Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards. Follow all quality, safety, and production guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned to support machining operations. Qualifications & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. 5+ years of experience operating CNC machining equipment. Working knowledge of CNC machining processes, including setup, operation, and basic programming concepts. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical instructions. Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and repeatability. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Industrial machine shop environment. Requires standing and walking for extended periods (8-10 hours per shift). Frequent bending, squatting, and lifting up to 50 pounds . Exposure to noise, moving equipment, and machining materials. Required use of personal protective equipment in designated areas. Professional Expectations Team-oriented and dependable. Organized, accurate, and efficient in daily work. Flexible and adaptable to changing production needs. Action-oriented with a strong sense of accountability.
