Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist and Operator to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise in CNC programming, print reading, and mechanical knowledge will ensure the highest quality standards are met. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining equipment and contribute to innovative manufacturing projects in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Set up CNC machines such as CNC lathes and milling machines, ensuring proper tooling, fixtures, and programs are in place before production begins Operate CNC equipment using Fanuc or similar control systems, monitoring machine operations for accuracy and efficiency Program CNC machines utilizing CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and write or modify CNC programs based on engineering drawings and specifications Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and engineering specifications to produce precise components Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision measuring instruments to verify part dimensions Perform routine maintenance on CNC machinery, troubleshoot issues promptly, and ensure machines operate at optimal performance levels Utilize hand tools, power tools, tooling, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to assist with setup or repairs as needed Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve productivity in the machining workflow Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, inspection reports, and machine logs
Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC machines to produce precision components
  • Select, install, and adjust tooling and machine parameters
  • Load raw materials and monitor machining processes for accuracy and efficiency
  • Perform in-process inspections and final quality checks to ensure specifications are met
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and report any mechanical concerns
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a CNC machinist and/or programmer in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Experience with CNC programming and related software (e.g., G-code, CAM systems)
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
