Opportunity:

Atlas Staffing has partnered with a growing manufacturer of machined and assembled components using the CNC machine technologies including Swiss CNC, Mori Seiki Lathes and Mills. Our client is looking for experienced lathe operator to operate and maintain CNC equipment. As a CNC Lathe Operator, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting technical blueprints and performing quality checks on the final product. You may also be required to troubleshoot any machine issues that arise during the manufacturing process. Responsibilities and Duties Run parts on CNC Lathes with Fanuc controls (G and M Code) Reads and interprets technical drawings / Blueprints Understanding of tooling and work holding Collaborates with Engineering, set-up techs, on production of parts and continuous improvement activities Qualifications and Skills High school diploma or GED. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNC Operator, programming a plus Ability to read and interpret design blueprints Understanding of the different tooling types, speeds, and feeds Ability to work independently and stick to a deadline Physical Demands and Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, continuous mental and visual attention is needed. The ability to stand for a shift, sit, talk and hear is frequently required. Lifting up to 40 pounds is required. The temperature may vary, and personal protective equipment is required.
