Job Description

  • ?️ CNC Lathe Operator - Join a High‑Precision Machining Team
  • If you take pride in producing tight‑tolerance parts and enjoy running well‑maintained Fanuc‑controlled CNC lathes, this role gives you the chance to work on challenging jobs in a growing shop. You'll handle setups, offsets, tooling, and in‑process inspections while contributing to a team that values craftsmanship and continuous improvement.
  • ? What You'll Do
  • + •Operate Fanuc CNC lathes•and machining centers to produce precision industrial components + •Perform tool changes and adjust offsets•to maintain accuracy and part quality + •Make minor program edits•to improve efficiency and ensure parts run to spec + •Set up CNC lathes•and related equipment for production runs + •Read and interpret blueprints•, machine drawings, and GD&T requirements + •Use precision measuring tools•such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and height gauges + •Perform in‑process inspections•to verify dimensions and maintain quality standards + •Monitor machine performance•and make adjustments to maintain throughput + •Follow quality control procedures•to ensure consistent, repeatable results + •Maintain a clean, organized work area•and follow all shop safety practices + •Communicate job status•and improvement ideas with supervisors and teammates •?
What You Bring
  • + •2+ years of CNC lathe experience•in a production or job‑shop environment + •Proficiency with Fanuc controls•and CNC machining centers + •Strong blueprint and GD&T comprehension•+ •Hands‑on experience•with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools + Ability to perform •tool changes, offsets, and basic program edits•+ •Solid understanding of quality inspection and machining best practices•+ •Commitment to cleanliness, organization, and safe machine operation•+ •Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently•⭐ Preferred Experience•+ •CNC lathe or Swiss machining•experience + Experience setting up CNC lathes and related equipment + Familiarity with CNC mills and multi‑axis machining + Exposure to job‑shop machining and high‑mix/low‑volume work + Strong attention to detail and desire to grow machining skills •?

Work Environment
  • You'll work in a traditional job‑shop environment machining industrial parts for a variety of OEMs.
The facility is older but well‑maintained, clean, and recently expanded.
Expect to work with:
+ Fanuc‑controlled CNC lathes and mills + Precision inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.) + Standard shop safety practices and industrial attire Shifts follow typical machine‑shop hours with consistent work and a steady production schedule.

  • This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
